Sodie Gets First Win

Brad Soderberg picked up his first victory as head coach at Lindenwood University (my alma mater) in dramatic fashion.
The Lions defeated Robert Morris, the preseason No. 1 team in the NAIA polls, 68-66 in the first game of the Lions Pride Classic in St. Charles, Mo.
Former Troy Buchanan standout Richard Rose provided the game-winning points with two free throws with 0.9 seconds left in regulation.
Rose finished the game with 25 points while forward Toriano Adams added 20 points.
LU will face No. 23 Life University tonight in the second game in the classic. The Lions will have faced three nationally-ranked teams in their first three games. LU played McKendree on Wednesday night in its opener, dropping a 73-62 decision in Lebanon, Ill.
Congrats to Coach Soderberg and the Lions.
