Mizzou Lands Top-Flight Class

The hits just keep on coming for University of Missouri head coach Mike Anderson.

After leading the Tigers to their first Big XII tournmanet title and NCAA Elite 8 berth in 2009, Anderson has capitalized on Mizzou's success by bringing in yet another talented recruiting class.

Mizzou's recruiting Class of 2010 became even better over the weekend when Anderson got a verbal commitment from 5-Star recruit Tony Mitchell, a athletic 6'8" small forward from Dallas. Mitchell is ranked as one of the top small forward in the country.

Mithcell is currently ranked No. 15 overall by Rivals.com and the No. 3 small forward in the senior class. He brings an abundance of athleticism and skills to the Mizzou program.

Mitchell is the Tigers second top recruit from the fertile state of Texas. Last week, Mizzou signed Top 50 point guard Phil Pressey from Dallas. The 5'10"Pressey is the son of former NBA standout Paul Pressey.

Also signing on the dotted line last week for Mizzou were local standout Ricky Kreklow, a 6'5" guard from Columbia Rock Bridge and 6'8" power forward Kedeem Green from Charlotte, N.C.
