UMSL Tritons on a roll

My buddy Chris Pilz (pictured) has his UMSL Tritons on an early-season roll after two weeks. The Tritons are currently 5-0, which is the best start in the school's history.
The Tritons have a potent offense which is averaging nearly 82 points a game. They are led by sophomore guard Beaumont Beasley, who is averaging 21.8 points a game.
Junior forward Ryan Lawrence (De Soto High)is averaging 16 points and six rebounds a game. The 6'3" Lawrence was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week after two dynamic performances in victories over Truman State and Upper Iowa. Lawrence had 19 points and 14 rebounds against Truman State, then 20 points against Upper Iowa.
Guard Jeremy Brown is averaging 12 points a game while 6'10" senior Adam Kaatman (Hazelwood West) is averaging 10.4 points. Kaatman is an excellent shooter for a big man.
Former Webster Groves standout Zach Redel has been solid, averaging 8.8 points and 5.6 rebounds. The 6'6" Redel transferred back home to UMSL after playing at NCAA Division II Final Four participant Central Missouri State last season. Junior Eddie White (Parkway West) also averages nearly eight points a game.
The Tritons also gained in the recruiting game this week when versatile 6'7" forward Kevin Dwyer of Rockwood Summit inked a letter of intent.
UMSL will begin GLVC play this weekend with road games at Lewis and Wisconsin-Parkside.
