Local cousins excel at Southern Ill. Juco

Former Gateway Tech basketball standouts Jesse Perry and Kenneth Harris have continued their excellence at the junior college level at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Ill.
Perry, a versatile 6'8" forward, and Harris, a 6'5" forward, not only have been teammates at the high school and junior college levels but they are also cousins as well. They have been major factors in Logan's 6-1 start, which includes victories of Missouri juco powers Three Rivers and Mineral Area. Both players are stuffing the stat sheet with great regularity.
Perry (pictured, left) is currently averaging 17.7 points, 10 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the floor and 77 percent from the free-throw line. He has also improved his 3-point shooting. Perry enjoyed a 33-point, 18-rebound game against Mineral Area earlier this season.
Harris (pictured, right) is currently averaging 11.7 points, 8 rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals. In the victory over Three Rivers, Harris had 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.
